Thursday (2/23): Lent Devotional

Pastor Drew Sams helped us to see not only the historical significance of the Lenten period but also how Lent can be used to better prepare our hearts for Easter.  We'll have a discussion on the devotional that Pastor Drew put together (a link will be available by the start of Lent, Ash Wednesday February 22nd, at www.hubhappenings.blogspot.com).

Friday (2/24): Ice Skating

It's winter time, though the weather hardly shows.  There's no snow, so let's go Ice Skating. It's right under our nose!
Whether you've never stepped foot on the ice or you're ready to triple axel your way around the group, we hope you'll join us for a great time.

Location: Iceoplex (131 West Easy Street, Simi Valley, CA 93065)
Cost ($9 for admission; $3.50 for skate rental)

Saturday (2/25): Worship Night
Come and join us for an intimate night of worship, celebrating our Lord.  This event is hosted by Hub but is open to all life stages.  (Childcare is not provided.)

Sunday (2/26): Prayer Meeting

Friends, corporate prayer is a reminder that we are the body of Christ, linked side by side through the work of Jesus Christ.  As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:12, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Each 4th Sunday of the month, we will be gathering to pray together.  Let's join together and defeat the schemes of the enemy!

Location: Calvary Community Church - Prayer Chapel
Time: 2:00 - 3:30pm

Join us for lunch at 1pm: Tikka Grill/California Crisp courtyard area (5790 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA; other choices nearby are Diary Queen, Japanese, Wendy's Zpizza, Panda Express, and Chipotle).  Just grab whatever sounds good and join us in the courtyard!

3/23 - 3/25: Mammoth Mountain Trip

The time has come to plan for our annual trip to Mammoth Mountain!  Whether you ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or sit in the lodge it will be a blast!  If you'd like to receive further information, please send an e-mail to hub@calvarycc.org.  We will NOT be posting all of the details on the blog.  The approximate cost for lodging and 3 meals (Breakfast on Saturday & Sunday; Dinner on Saturday) is $120.  Your spot is only confirmed when we receive your check and this is non-refundable.
