Service Project - Salvation Army Camp

When: Saturday October 27, 2012

Time: Either meet at Calvary at 9:00am to carpool or meet at location in Malibu where we will start working. We need to be in Malibu by 10am (Old Malibu Courthouse, 21323 Pacific Coast Highway).  We are being provided a light breakfast at the courthouse and lunch during the day.  We need to figure out dinner.  Probably simple bbq at the camp.  We will update this part of the day.

Project Outline: The camp has been donated a bunch of kitchen equipment, plates, cups, and utensils and we will be helping them move these items from The Old Courthouse in Malibu to their camp in the Santa Monica Mountains.

After the project is over, we will spend the evening at the camp and enjoy a bon-fire and just hang out.  If you can’t stay with us all day, just come serve with us for half a day.

For those of you who know Hume Lake, this camp has a very similar feel and is right in our back yard!  Please consider joining us for a day of work and an evening of fun!

Please wear closed-toed shoes!  Also, bring warm clothes for the evening if you decide to join us for a bon-fire.
