Friday Night: TRICK OR TREAT?!!

The Sunrise...thanks for the pic Alicia!

Our tent taking a beating!!!

The beach was awesome...the afternoon was beautiful and warm. The night was filled with lots of food and great conversation! Carson lead us in a great time of worship and was accompanied by Julius and Laura. Those of us that braved the overnight component were awakened to rain and crazy winds...tents were flapping and blowing like mad!!! All in all it was a great time!!!

This Halloween is a "choose your own adventure" of sorts!

We'll be enjoying a campfire down at Thornhill Broom Beach. We'll have the usual TREATS of s'mores and anything else people bring to share! As for the TRICKS, that's where you get to choose what you'd like to do. We see lots of options:

  • Hanging around the campfire
  • Going on a night hike
  • Carving a pumpkin (bring your own pumpkin and carving tools)
  • Pumpkin Olympics: Games played with pumpkins instead of the usual ball (i.e. bowling, shot-put, bocce, etc.) Ideas are welcome!
  • We need Tiki Torches and Lanterns, so please bring them if you have them!
  • Camping overnight (bring your own tent and camping supplies - if you want to stay, but don't have this stuff, post a comment and see who's willing to share!)

Logistics

  • Time: Come anytime after 4:00.
  • Food: Eat dinner before arriving or pick up something to eat at the campsite.
  • Parking: Free street parking is available until 10PM. Campsite parking costs $10 per vehicle and is very limited, so carpooling is encouraged (use the comments feature on the blog to coordinate with people).
  • Directions from Calvary:
    101 North
Exit Las Posas Rd. turn LEFT
Go 6.5 miles to PCH/CA-1 South
Campsite is about 2.5 miles down PCH, just past Mugu Rock
