Let's start the weekend with a hike. We can get a some exercise and enjoy some beautiful fall weather and a great view. We'll get going a bit early so we can catch the sunset and get some frozen yogurt/food after.
NIGHT HIKE:
6:00pm - Bench Hike (Santa Monica Mountains) in Newbury Park (Meet at the end of Regal Oaks Ct, off of Lynn Rd)
Directions: Exit 101 at Lynn Rd - Turn (South) - Turn Left (South) at Regal Oaks Ct - Go to end of street and park on the trail side.
This will be a moderate hike (around 3 miles one-way), but you'll want appropriate shoes, a sweatshirt, water, and optionally a flashlight.
Dinner:
9:00pm - Food Court near Target and Home Depot (1015 Broadbeck Dr, Newbury Park, CA 91320)
We'll meet over by Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt but there is also a Baja Fresh, Daphne's, The Habit, Presto Pasta, Subways, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, and a new BBQ joint too.

Sunday (10/16): Operation Embrace
Operation Embrace is a ministry of the Harbor Church to embrace, befriend and share the good news and teachings of Jesus Christ to the underserved, the disenfranchised, the poor, the homeless, the white collar workers, the blue collar workers and their families. We will support the Harbor by serving a hot meal - breakfast - cooking, serving, and cleaning up after the meal. There will also be an opportunity to attend the service with the guests if you so choose.
5:30am: We'll meet in the parking lot by Chipotle in Newbury Park (Wendy exit in Newbury Park...across from Target)
We will return to Chipotle around 10:30am.
Alternatively, you can meet us at 6am at The Harbor [3100 Preble Ave. in Ventura (www.theharbor.us)
We will also be accepting contributions to cover the cost for the meal.
Part of this experience is to interact with and minister to the guests. Please pray for a Divine appointment and allow the Spirit to lead you throughout the morning!

Sunday (10/23): Progressive Lunch
Join us for delicious food, fellowship and fun at our first progressive lunch. We will be starting at 902 Rawhide Place, Newbury Park, at 1:30 p.m. and then going over to 3435 William Drive, Newbury Park at 4:00 p.m. A donation of $7 is greatly appreciated to offset the cost of food. If you have any food allergies or specific dietary restrictions (for example: vegetarian), please let us know ASAP so that we can plan accordingly. We encourage all to attend one of the morning services as our fellowship time will go beyond the evening service.
